Mayweather didn’t talk much about the meeting in the days that followed, but on Thursday, TMZ Sports caught up with him on the streets of NYC and asked him about his relationship with Trump. And Mayweather explained why he was so quick to congratulate Trump on his election victory while also addressing his thoughts on Trump serving as the next President of the United States of America.

"I like everybody," Mayweather said. "I don’t have nothing against nobody. He’s never been mean to me. Donald Trump came out to support me for the Manny Pacquiao fight, and I was appreciative for that. A lot of times what we do is we judge people that we really don’t know. We judge people that we really don’t know. So I’m not here to say nothing negative about nobody. Barack Obama was a good president, and hopefully, Donald Trump is a good president."

I'm part Irish, against pugilistic sports. My view on it was that a physical brawl between Blacks and Irish 'whites' played into the hands of the swinish mob types who back dRumpf. Falsely telling Irish they were 'white', when Irish really have a lot of commonalities with Blacks.

I know that UFC head backed dRump, as did a lot of boxing bigshots, and the McMahon swines. I like when Conor backed Rousey, when she rejected dRump, then got beaten in her title bout.

I see nothing wrong with two fighters of different skin colors facing off in the ring. Race has never really played a part in any sport for me. I watch a match to be entertained. Trump supporters might gather around the television in their white power gear, cheering in racist chants during the match. But I will be with my black and white friends tonight watching the match at home after our pre-boxing cookout today. All of us pitched in for the pay-per view- we did the same thing for Mayweather & Pacquiao- Btw there was a lot of racism from the filipino community directed at Mayweather during that fight. Chants of the n-word could be heard and seen in Manila the night of the fight.

I'm 75% Irish and have loved the sport since I was a young kid. Progressive folks I know really aren't into sports- I've witnessed a few of those "intellectuals" around me snub their noses at the thought of watching any kind of sport on television. Like it or not people enjoy barbaric sports. Football is far more brutal than boxing matches these days. Personally, I don't care for football, but I'm not going to
call for an end to it b/c of Colin Kapernick, or some white offensive lineman who hurled a racist rant on social media.

Should we now stop "Blacks" and "whites" from facing off in the ring? How about all sports? Should we segregate them into different leagues? Trump, Bernie, and Hillary supporters need to put politics aside during these times of entertainment.

10. I really did appreciate the info on Mayweather you provided. And meant to imply no judgement on

anyone's enjoyment of the sport. I don't want to come off as a humorless no fun dogmatic leftist. My mind just starts to wander when the conversation turns to pure sports, stats, fantasy football, who holds the title, that stuff. My town is a big sports town (Pittsburgh), so a large majority of people I know are avid sports fans. I think when one of our teams is having a winning season, 'good, all those fans are going to feel happy, it brightens their day, they go around feeling better in a better mood.' Their enjoyment of sports doesn't hurt me, I just move around a much less crowded street during big sporting events. Hope nobody gets hurt, permanently.

It's a zero sum game though, the fans of the other side in a championship or title event go around feeling bad, once the final event is over.

My wife's a big Rousey fan, she went and saw this crossover fight between Conor and Floyd. We don't argue about it, and I see the positive political angle of women breaking into the sport, showing they can be formidable physically, defend themselves. She's Irish, too, and backed Conor. I went to bed, though I'm big on Irish music, art, history, culture, etc. I didn't judge her or you as anti-black, or the majority of the fans either, as anti-Black or anti-white or anti-irish. The badguy jagoff rightie propagandists do want to play that angle out, in their warped spins on events, though. They get as much mileage out of it as they can, to advance their bad agenda, while they have millions of people paying attention to those events. They do the same thing in any high profile criminal or terror attack, focus on the criminals' and victims' races and religions.

I look at the political angles only, when sporting news gets my attention, filters through to the media sources I pay attention to. I don't advocate for nobody to have any kind of fun that I'm not personally involved in having myself. Please excuse the inadvertent appearance of judgement from me, it definitely wasn't intended. I'm opposed to segregation of sports, too.
