Related: About this forumMaria Cantwell On The 2020 Ticket? Thoughts For And Against?
I'm hoping that Maria Cantwell (Senator from Washington since 2001) will run for the Democratic Nomination in 2020. She has spent most of her time in Washington focusing on energy policy.
Anyone have any other thoughts?

She'd have to build up a ton of name recognition.

She's pretty low key and doesn't stand out that much. Patty makes more of a dent than Maria and would garner more national name recognition. I would rather keep them both as Senators, thank you very much.

And energy policy does need to be a priority after Trump and his minions are doing everything they can to dismantle the policies that were put in place during the last eight years.
