Years ago Harris County (Houston) elected a corporate attorney with no litigation background, and who ran soley to unseat a judge who presided over a trial where an abortion clinic successfully sued a radical anti-abortion group. Judge Divine (not making his name up) immediately hung the 10 Commandments in his court room. Of course he had to almost immediately remove them, but we got the message. He had no clue how to do his job. He had to look up the evidence rules during trial where judges have to frequently make quick rulings on objections to keep the trial moving. He was a joke for a long time. I understand (since i had moved away) that he had eventually learned how to do his job and became a good judge (unless religion entered into a case).
We cannot have judges who put their religion ahead of the law. They swear an oath to follow the Constitution and the law, but as we have seen with Judge/Justice Roy Moore in Alabama, some still put their religion ahead of your rights as an American. I can tell this guy is cut from the same cloth and his God comes before anything else.
