1. Imagine the energy it takes to power all those lights

I grew up on a street without streetlights, so when we moved to one that did, it seemed normal enough at first, but got annoying after a while. Now I look at light pollution for what it is, just a waste of energy.

2. When I was a child I grew up in places that were truly dark because they were in country settings.

Now there is lights right outside my window and no way to put up curtains that block because where I live we are not allowed to put up curtain rods to put black out curtains. I am one of those people who like absolute darkness at night. I sure as hell do not get it.
