Meet Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-TX), who will be challenging Ted Cruz and has already out-raised him.

Robert Francis O'Rourke, born in 1972. He graduated from Columbia in 1995 with a B.A. and in 1998 founded an internet services and software company that his wife now runs, Stanton Street Technology.

He won't be taking Pac or Super pac money or using political consultants.

He is on the ground every day traveling all over Texas.

O'Rourke intends to stop in all 254 counties in Texas during his campaign.

I have a few misgivings about him, but if he wins the Democratic nomination (which I expect) then I will be voting for him.

I am giving my time and money to his campaign. Our local Democratic Club is trying to schedule a visit. I hope to meet him.

We need a strong candidate just so Republicans can hear about all of the crap they have been mis-informed about! Republican policies are starting to be noticed as the poison they are by the Republican voters of this state. Their Party has gone far enough that even the most die hard Republicans here are seeing the negative effect of one Party, Republican rule.
