They lasted for 5 days and were suicide headaches...REALLY! I have always smoked to be able to sleep at night and the strongest weed did NOTHING! I really was going to jump off a bridge. I had no life what so ever. You can't function. The pain was all over in my head and relentless. I'd hallucinate, throw up, and even my sense of smell and taste were effected. I saw doctors and nothing worked. I finally was approved for Botox and it saved my life. It is mostly paid for with my ACA but it is still expensive. It took 9 months for it to really work. I have to have 32 injections in my scalp, neck, hairline and shoulders every 3 months. I still get slight headaches daily but if I drink coffee and take aspirin, acetaminophen and Sumatriptan AS SOON AS IT STARTS (that is key!) I can usually prevent them from becoming a full blown migraine. Research is showing that it is a physical brain/nerve defect and new products are about to be released. I wish weed helped...it would be a lot cheaper.

My father had great success using bio-feedback. It took a while to learn but he was eventually able to control his pain. He says he still got the migraines, the auras, sensitivity to light, etc., but he didn't get the pain. He was also suicidal before he learned bio-feedback and he said it saved his life.

I get them very, very rarely and can't imagine having to live with them like you have to. I am so sorry you have to go through that.

My neighbor told me about something like that but I got approved for the Botox through Blue Shield before I got a chance to try it. It is doing the trick and is now very manageable. They started all at once, not gradually over time. Women get them more often and it is genetic too. It really does get rid of wrinkles. If I pull my hair away from my forehead and try really hard to scrunch up where I got the needles it doesn't budge at all. Blue Shield gives you a hard time since it is expensive ($13,000+ a year) and they have to get the doctor to do tons of paperwork to make sure it isn't cosmetic.

A few times. Mixed results. I live in WA state where it’s legal so I self prescribed. Like the woman in the video I smoked a lot of pot when I was younger. Probably almost daily for close to 10 years but chasing the high. I hadn’t smoked pot for probably around 35 years when they legalized it in my state. I had (have) severe back pain. I can’t remember when I finally tried the pot, I think it was after my first surgery and I’d been on opiates for a couple years and trying to get off them. I think the first time I bought a joint, tried it, and didn’t help. After another surgery and then a car wreck and doctors not wanting to give me opiates I decided to try again. This time I bought some chocolate that was 50/50 THC/CBD. It did seem to help my pain a lot. The pure CBD did not. But it seemed like I had to eat enough that by the time I was getting pain relief I was also getting high and just don’t like that feeling amy more. I had a third surgery and things are getting better but there was a period of real bad pain. I got some narcotics but not enough to last very long and tried pot again. Basically, for me to get to the pain relief I am also getting high. I guess for some night or weekend with nothing to do I’d try some again but just not useful to me when I have s job and responsibilities. One thing that jumped out at me in this video however is her belief it helps with nerve pain. I’ve had real bad sciatica at times, and as she alluded to, opiates just don’t really help nerve pain much. I’ve never tried pot when I was having sciatica but I think if it ever happens again I’ll try pot for that.

for menstrual cramps. OMG! It made them worse. While I realize that my experience was an outlier, and that every single person who needs or thinks he needs marijuana for pain should absolutely be allowed it, I'm not real likely to try it myself.

Yet another entry in the "Your mileage might vary" sweepstakes.

The Medical marijuana of today is 3x the strength of weed in the 1970s. Its also the CDBs in the weed that is for pain. You can buy a high CBD strain today that has very little effect on getting you high.

However if that's also what you want there are hybrid strains. Indica is good for making you sleepy, where as Sativa will make you wired and awake as good as any caffeine.

I take Indica because it helps me sleep better, and it is more suitable to what I need for my other medical problems. The weed of 20 years ago is nothing like that which is grown today, so many strains, so many cross breeding ..its amazing what is out there and the names are pretty cool as well...

When they went to biopsy it, there was nothing to biopsy and they rescheduled in several weeks to try again.

She also discovered that her fibromyalgia pain lessened, much to her surprise. She also went off of her bipolar drugs to be able to use THC (she was very careful about this and planned carefully so they wouldn't coreact) and is finding her mood is stabilizing naturally without the side effects of the pills. She's alert and doesn't dread walking through a parking lot anymore due to leg pain.

For it to work on things like pain, disease etc, you need to INGEST the CONCENTRATED EXTRACT NOT, for the final time DO NOT SMOKE it & expect anything to change for you. INGEST not SMOKE!! SMDH

but ingesting it doesn't always work the same depending on the medical reason you are using Cannabis. I have tried using edibles and they don't work as well for me as vaping or smoking it via pipe does. I have also used tinctures. Again, vaping works far better for me. Faster, quicker and works better for me. Each PERSON has to find what works best for them, there is not only one way to results.

BUT, I KNOW what I'm talking about. I was Dx on February 4 2011 with stage 4 b METASTATIC cervical carcinoma, complicated with visceral gangrene, ie, abcesses EVERYWHERE! I wasn't supposed to live through the night, then, I wasn't supposed to make it out of the hospital, & then, I wasn't supposed to make it past March of that year...I was on a 30% PALLIATIVE chemo & was removed from that because of horrific side effects, ie, severe peripheral neuropathy.

NOW, if you'll notice, I didn't say EDIBLES, although they have a place for people who are dealing with life threatening illnesses. CANNABIS OIL, FECO & RSO are what I MAKE & have been taking AT NIGHT BEFORE BED, on & off until 2015 & then regularly since I developed CUTANEOUS mets & A TUMOR that began to close off my urethra.

I began to regularly take the CANNABIS OIL, slowly upping the dose to 1 gram a day & then increasing the dose to the point where I now take about 10 grams a day. The mets within 2 weeks of beginning the regular INGESTION of the cannabis were shrunken 50% within 2 WEEKS & I went from looking at a urethral catheter to complete reversal and regression of that tumor.

So, when I say that INGESTION is the method that people who are dealing with TREATMENT of a disease process IS THE WAY TO GO, that's EXACTLY what I mean. Trust me, I NEVER ever thought about smoking Marijuana before my husband worked for over 2 years to talk me into using it for pain relief, (I ALSO have severe duodenal ulcers) & STILL HATE the smell of the herb. You may smoke but trust me when I tell you...You would be kissing the porcelain princess & SERIOUSLY hallucinating if you attempted to take even a .001% of what I take. We have a family friend who lives in Oakley, an old Hippy, who tried 2 DROPS of my concentrated oil. This is a man who's been smoking since the late 60's to the present day. He hallucinated & hurled for 3 days & after he was assured that he wasn't going to die, told me that he would NEVER try to take what I take because he realised just how concentrated Cannabis oil, FECO & RSO are, in relation to just smoking a few joints or even a huge blunt.

Edibles aren't as strong because they are using the meds that are diluted when combined with the other ingredients. I know what I'm talking about. If that poor girl were to take 1/10 of a gram of RSO, her pain would STAY away for AT LEAST 12 hours & she could then use the vape, the edibles or the creams to help her make it through the day.

BTW, I haven't had ANY chemo, radiation since September 30, 2011 or even seen an Oncologist since October 2013

Its only recently people have started doing research on Cannabis because our fucking Government had made it even illegal to research. There are still some people out there who thinks this is just an excuse for people to get high, when there clearly are benefits to Cannabis.

My girlfriend has this condition where if she couldn't smoke it, she wouldn't be able hold a simple thing like a coffee cup or drive to work because her hands shake so much. Since I have been using it for my particular problems, I have been able to do somethings, I haven't really been able to do before. I won't go into details, but to say its worked for me.

For years I was discouraged about using Medical Cannabis because my doctor clearly had no use for it, nor could see how any of it could be helpful to anything. Now that I do use it for my particular medical problem, I have a new doctor who is clearly more interested that I get better than what profits he can make from using the medicines the drug companies supply him with for free to try out on his patients.

I used to have a ton of medications and salves that I would bring home after a doctors visit. I am using less than half of that stuff now... and have done remarkably better. So naw, I am going to keep vaping weed. I can either chose to get the high CBD stuff with low THC, and not get high or I can have a little of both and enjoy myself. I enjoy the THC and the CBD's now.

Sessions has had a life long obsession with marijuana, and now that he has the power of the Justice Department at his disposal he's attacking it in a big way, especially in states which have legalized it. It might backfire on him, however.

Of all the real crime that's being committed in the U.S., including white collar and corporate crime, committing finite resources to prosecuting a drug that more than 2/3 of Americans believe should be legal seems a real waste.

The second thing is that researchers are prevented from doing tests on the medical effects of marijuana, or at least getting funding for such tests.
