(16,887 posts)Absolutely horrid....
Oh how I hope that there would be some kind of indictment against her and that she was working with the Russians...
I still don't believe it was a coincidence she was sitting at a table with Flynn and Putin....

(70,556 posts)So Stein voters would have gone to Trump?
Perseus
(4,341 posts)that is not what I heard. I think her point is that we don't know who they would have voted for, and one has to believe that there may have been some sort of a split.
I think someone should ask her..."knowing what you know now about how things turned out with the man-child, do you think that the most patriotic action you could have taken is to support Hillary Clinton?" Not sure if she hates Hillary, but what is greater, your patriotic duty and love for your country, or hate to a person?

And in other news, Jill stein ordered a recount (not an audit) in michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Nothing to see here...I checked for ya!.

(7,508 posts)had her pegged from the get go Professional candidate. She's gonna need a new scam. I don't think the Greens are gonna waste their votes again. In Michigan on Mlive forums the Russians were pushing hard for her. It would start out pushing against Hillary and for Trump. If that didn't work they'd pivot and say a vote for Jill Stein wouldn't be a wasted vote. I saw that many times.

(4,341 posts)First, two disclaimers:
1. I did not vote for Stein
2. She is very smart, and she should have known that her running would affect Hillary a little, and the alternative to Hillary was horrendous as we have all witnessed.
Now my take on the blog:
1. She did not come unglued, she was trying to make a point and the interviewer was not letting her.
2. She made a very good point. The media, the USA MEDIA, is as guilty as the Russians are, they gave the man-child all sorts of free publicity, one CEO (can't remember who) said that covering the man-child was great business, bring it on...Now the media wants to make everyone think they are not guilty? well they are and everyone should remind them of that. They still do it.
3. I think we have to recognize that Jill Stein would have been a better president than the man-child, no doubt about that. Well, I guess almost anyone would be, but that is not the point.
4. The bigger picture is not how many votes Stein took away from Hillary, the Muller investigation needs to find out if the machines were hacked, because I believe that Stein or no Stein, they would have hacked the machines anyway, so I find that Stein made very little difference.
5. Stein, Sanders, etc., etc., should have been patriotic and understand that the choice of the man-child would be a disaster for the USA and the World, when that happens and you know that your chances are almost zero to win, then put all your effort, all your campaign money to support "the lesser of two evils". I don't believe in "lesser of...", I think Hillary would have been a great president, but the power of persuasion the GOP has had on the public to frame Hillary as an evil person has been good, so many people thought that way, that is why I framed it that way.
I wish "sensational" titles would not be part of DU, she did not come unglued.

Decades of anti Hillary media gossip didn't help either.

(24,333 posts)that there is scant evidence that those who voted for her would have voted for Clinton
There seems to be a thought that those voters would have gone Clinton instead
I realize 5 people are not reflective of a whole group, but I know five people who voted for Stein that would have looked elsewhere on the ballot if she were not on it (they would not have voted for Clinton)

(17,939 posts)Why does someone of her diminutive stature politically move in these circles? Internationally, she's a nobody. So what's she doing there?
Maven
(10,533 posts)She could easily have done an interview and said the sky is blue and you might say she was right, but that is just as irrelevant as pointing the finger at the media. Yeah, the media fucked up Jill, but that has absolutely zero to do with why after meeting with Putin, you parroted the Kremlins anti-Hillary talking points nonstop and inexplicably campaigned in Michigan and Wisconsin right before the election to peel off voters from HRC. Not to mention your phony recount effort, etc.
Jill the traitor is going down.
Perseus
(4,341 posts)accountable for all the propaganda they did in favour of the man-child, and Stein seems to be the only one I know who has brought up that point, reason why the interviewer did not want to let her talk.
No, this has nothing to do with her say anything ("the sky is blue" , I don't care for her and I am not defending her, but one has to recognize that she made a very good point, one that no one is talking about. Objectivity is something we all must adhere to, you may not like her, but you have to admit that her point is one that needs to be spread to make sure the media doesn't do it again.
How many times did the man-child dupe the media, and they recognized they had been duped, but did that stop them from being part of the show? No, they continued to give him air time, to make a fuzz about the stupidity he spewed every time he opened his mouth, the easy interviews they gave him, etc. etc.
Give an instance of when any of these so called reporters asked the man-child for details on how he intended to carry on with his MAGA crap?
I think we all have to spread the fact that the media is as guilty as the Russians, they contributed enormously to the man-child's campaign, not sure if the 6 billion Stein mentioned is accurate, but I don't doubt it.
Here is an article on all the free money the media gave the man-child:

(10,533 posts)And she is not the person to make that point with any credibility, as she helped ratf*ck the election. It is a deflection from her culpability, plain and simple.
Please do not promote Jill Stein here. Thanks.
Perseus
(4,341 posts)I am not promoting Jill Stein at all, not sure where you got that from, but her point is a good one and although you claim many people have said it, they might, but I have not heard it after the election, a handful mentioned it during the campaign, but no discussion of it after that and I feel it is important for people to continually hold the media accountable, the man-child is their creation as well.
Please, do not accuse anyone, like you have accused me, I am not promoting her. Trying to prevent accusations like this is why I started with a disclaimer. I suggest you read my entire post before you come to conclusions.
