1. Socialism is not a dirty word...

I remember when "Joe the Plumber" became a sensation by calling Obama the Candidate a socialist. The millennials who didn't live through the Cold War or McCarthyism aren't afraid of that term and are very sensitive to the issue of wealth distribution. Bernie's willingness to not shy away from what Dr. Wolff speaks of is the main source of his popularity.

2. I believe in capitalism, with some social programs as safety nets.

That's not what we currently have. We have an oligarchy, which became set in concrete with the Citizens United decision.

3. Just heard him interviewed on Sam Seder's show. The guy makes a compelling case.

I like his speaking style. He's also very humble and honest.
