Richard Wolff: "We Cannot Pretend that Capitalism is the Only Way"

Dr. Richard Wolff joins Thom Hartmann, suggesting that "the ultimate criteria for an economic system is whether or not it works for the vast majority of the people" Our system isn't working and yet, we debate all aspects of our lives, why not debate our economic systems?

I remember when "Joe the Plumber" became a sensation by calling Obama the Candidate a socialist. The millennials who didn't live through the Cold War or McCarthyism aren't afraid of that term and are very sensitive to the issue of wealth distribution. Bernie's willingness to not shy away from what Dr. Wolff speaks of is the main source of his popularity.

That's not what we currently have. We have an oligarchy, which became set in concrete with the Citizens United decision.
