I suppose imploding leaves less mess to clean up; exploding leaves messy bits all over. A bit of hyperbole here, I'd say. The guy got flustered, which is not the same as in- or ex-ploding.

Because the sort of "love" this guy keeps describing sure makes me wonder how Platonic this relationship really is.

That's if you believe any of this BS to begin with, which I don't. But if they keep pushing this narrative, that Cohen mortgaged his house out of "love" for Trump, will, I think this then might become a legitimate question.
