Our astronauts get to the space station on Russian rockets and their capsules. They have ICBM's with multiple nuclear warheads capable of hitting multiple targets. Russia went through a rough time when the USSR broke up. They even lost a submarine. Putin has invested billions in upgrading their military since then, and you can bet it has some state-of-the-art equipment.
