(206,013 posts)But I do remember Glenda Jackson and I liked her, too. I haven't seen her for ages, but now we know where she's been, sounds like she took the job seriously, we could use a few more like her!

(58,785 posts)Actually, yes to the first also. We go out to movies with grandkids some, so I'm familiar with all the Transformer stars, Megatron, Starscream, of course Optimus Prime , but I can't put faces to a bunch of the human names all over pop culture.

(206,013 posts)My previous job was writing descriptions for network programming for the newspapers, so I had to know who played who. But I am hopeless on singers. When CBS was carrying The People's Choice Awards I tried voting myself, but I got as far as male vocalist and I had no clue who any of them were, so I just gave up...

(12,442 posts)Such a wonderful actress and activist! And it was personally gratifying to me that Stephen corrected her on the hung/hanged issue. That drives me nuts.

I remember watching her strong portrayal of Elizabeth R on PBS.
Glad she used that strength to counter Thatcher and beyond.
