7. I have stated for the last ten years repeatedly that we are headed for an authoritarian government.

The greatest threat to our democratic government is not external but internally by Republican Party. They put their party on the road fascism nearly fifty years ago. A key element was Reagan's repeal of the Fairness Doctrine that allowed unchallenged propaganda to be broadcast 24/7 without challenge. Second was the repeal that allowed corporations to own unlimited number of stations. In reality the Republicans have created a monster that they are unable to control and have themselves to become slaves to a perpetual demonization of Democrats. It has come to the final point where they are challenging the rule of law by condemning the very agencies that are pledged to protect us for what is transpiring. Anyone who dares to criticize the actions of any Republican, including illegal one are summarily condemned as Democratic Party lies.

The latest assault by Giuliani with the outrageous charge that the Mueller investigation is an illegal lynch party is only symptomatic of what has been their modus operandi for the last fifty years. It should be absolutely horrifying that this is coming from the mouth of a licensed attorney and former mayor of one of the most important cities in the nation founded on the principle that no one is above the law. This is clearly demonstrates just how far down the road to authoritarian government the Republican Party has been allowed to do. What the nation is faced with becoming under their rule is an incestuous marriage between rulers above the law and oligarchs.
