1. The last minutes (Clinton on realistic goals w North Korea) need to be seen by all Americans

So simply and smartly stated. I hope, above all, Trump sees it.

2. As with Jimmy Carter, people tend to forget that President Clinton is a brilliant man

Jimmy Carter, with his background in nuclear physics, negotiated the last successful diplomatic effort with North Korea on behalf of the Clinton administration in 1994 - and President Clinton traveled to Pyongyang in 2009 to successfully secure the release of two American journalists. And both former presidents gave North Korea what they most wanted - respect - and accomplished their goals. Too bad that Trump refuses to follow the tradition of our former presidents, calling on the exclusive club of experienced previous presidents for advice and help.

4. I remember when President Clinton was on with David Letterman just after 9/11

He explained the situation and what he believed had happened - quite simply and clearly - to Dave and his audience - and after the effusive audience reaction, Dave said something like "we still think of you as president."

6. President Clinton holds a special place for me since he's the only president I've seen in person

He came to my little burg (NY-20) back in 2006 to campaign for the Democratic congressional candidate and though this is a Republican-leaning district, it was standing room only to see and hear a president! And he really has a presence, he's a charismatic speaker, and he was enormously popular here. And the Democratic candidate won against the incumbent Republican who had held the seat for years!

7. What a lovely memory for you. Warms my heart.

I was so excited to vote for Clinton because he and Hillary were my age, exemplary of our antiWar generation. It was miraculous that he got through the nominating process, because he had outspokenly opposed the War, organized against it. And he was unapologetic about his resistance to the War during his campaign! We were told in the 60's that if you demonstrated against the War "you'll never even get a job at the post office." I voted for Clinton with sheer delight. Clinton's nomination and election was a just such a vindication, a sea change, a validation of our protest.

The only President I ever saw in person was,oh no, Nixon. It was at a March on Washington, in front of the Justice Dept. Nixon and Mitchell came out on the top of the Justice Dept, for a dramatic oment looked down at the thousands of us protestors below. Then Nixon raised his arm and ,like Caesar, turned his thumb down, signaling to unleash the tear gas & batons on all of us.
Nixon was such a shit, but boy is that a cherished memory.

8. He was also the first presidential candidate who I voted for that actually won, there's that, too!

I remember the swipes at him from back then - he "didn't inhale," that kind of thing - which seems almost quaint now. But Bill and Hillary were activists back then - and haven't stopped since!

And that is an incredible memory, you experienced a part of history!

10. My grandmother, a lifelong Republican, cast her first vote for a Democrat for President Clinton

Of course, the Republican brand had changed since she first started voting, she was born in 1900. But Bill Clinton also had a strong message.

11. I remember in the 60's when my Mom voted Kennedy & my Dad Nixon

I think it was a national pattern, a national moment that's rarely mentioned: Wives broke from their husbands' politics and proudly voted their own minds and hearts. I've always thought that unexpected Republican housewife turn to Kennedy put him over the top.

My Dad became a lifelong Democrat not too long after. Kennedy appealed to the best in everybody.
I think Clinton appealed to the best in voters too; your grandmother is a lovely example.
