1. Japan's low unemployment rate shouldn't be seen as an example of the world economy rebounding.

It's because of low birth rate, more jobs than there are people to fill them, and women dropping out of the workforce to care for children or the elderly.

And of course only end up alienating everyone.

The best part is, they've been doing this since the Clinton impeachment, and - two or three lost places in the ratings later - still haven't learned.

3. I have lived in countries with single payer healthcare systems.

It doesn't mean single provider. It just means single payer.

I loved the systems. I'm 100% for single payer insurance.

People who can afford to pay more for insurance can still get private coverage for extra amenities under some of the systems. But basic healthcare insurance coverage should be universal for everyone and should be affordable for all. A single payer system should, as the ACA does to some extent, establish basic coverage standards for all policies so that people don't run up huge healthcare bills that they cannot pay and that put them in bankruptcy court.
