The only problems were the seats were small (I am only 5'7" and 130lbs) and it was really warm inside! Also, sometimes the cameraman was right in our line of sight. There people outside with petitions to get medical and recreational marijuana as an amendment (we both signed both)! We had pretty good seats, other than the aforementioned problem. The opening act was a bit stupid, though he got better toward the end.

They never showed the audience, but I thought of you there! Sounds like it wasn't an ideal venue, with the small seats and all, but from the audience reaction, it sure looked like a success! He was somewhat more graphic than he is on Real Time, but I get the impression that's what his live shows are like. So glad that you had such a great time! He really seemed to have the audience with him, but then not too many Trump supporters would go to see Bill Maher!

I did wonder if there were any disruptors - he can run into that anyplace, remember when they disrupted his HBO show awhile back. And he seems to overlook the bluest states with his live shows - but little does he know the denizens of rural New York State! And he was very funny, I laughed out loud several times, too! Thanks for the first hand report!

We signed both (medial and recreational). After the show, we went to the Majestic (gay bar) for the first time. Not a bad place, but boy did it remind us how old we are the next day when we tried to function!

And of course we all envy you! Some shows just don't show the audience, I've noticed that his Real Time show never does either. BtA said that sometimes the cameras blocked their view so maybe they aren't used to televising the shows there? In any case, I agree it was a great show, I actually laughed out loud several times...

Looked like it was hot as Bill's shirt was soaked when he finished.

A fellow DUer was in the audience and he said the lights made it a bit warm, so it must have been even warmer for Bill. But he seemed to really enjoy his interaction with the audience - and I agree he was very funny!

As for John Oliver, I regularly post his Sunday show as soon as it's available, but it wasn't on this week, as with Bill Maher, he announced last week that he would be off "for a few weeks."

These are the latest ones I posted if you missed them:

I'm sorry. At least it lasted longer than most of these do. I couldn't find the whole show again, but this bit he did about Pence still works:

Bill Maher completely destroys the ‘Pence would be worse’ argument in his new HBO special
