(1,777 posts)...comes up in the evidence list that Mueller's office just released for Manafort's upcoming trial. Devine was Manafort's partner in Ukraine. Perhaps he'll be called as a witness? If he's one of the five who were immunized, hold on to your hats.

(8,200 posts)His position on tariffs, NAFA and Trans Pacific Trade were no different than what Trump was proposing. Trump was hammering Clinton on her backing of the Trans deal and she had to recind her earlier support. He was spewing the same crap on tariffs as Trump and there is no difference in what he proposed. Weil, we can see what has happened in that regard. When did he ever get out and support Democrats or help raise money for the Demcratic Party? Yeah, I know all about that he cacuses with the Demos. He has a choice Demo or Repuks. He is a Democrat when he whats to run on a national ticket, but immediately cancels his membership when the election is over. Just what the hell is his platform? He doesn't have one just like the fact that he hasn't ever passed any major legislation.

(49,978 posts)Tad Devine worked three other failed candidates too!! Gore, Kerrey and Dukakis. Coincidence? Sleeper agent? Manchurian Candidate's assistant? Worse?
And why did the emails between Manafort and Devine end in 2014? Had he completed his duty to get Hillary out of the State Department? Benghazi anyone?
It boggles the mind.

(658 posts)Or did you simply see that Bernie Sanders was in the video and decide to argue something completely not relevant to the context of the speech?
It's very simple. Bernie Sanders is relevant. He speaks for a great many people in America, myself included. Yes I voted for him in the primaries and it is also very true that I voted a straight democratic ticket in the general election in 2016 - casting my vote for Hillary Clinton. His positions most closely resemble my own and I would vote for Bernie Sanders again and again, and again. That being said... if he is never nominated, I will gladly vote for whomever is nominated. I believe there are far far more people who voted exactly the same way that I did than those who over reacted to the nonsensical news reports that Hillary Clinton was somehow crooked (absolutely not, by the way). I would vote for Hillary Clinton a thousand times over, and would be proud to cast those votes, but not if Bernie were running against her.
I believe that myself, and people like me, are more common than those described by you and others making derogatory statements about Bernie Sanders. If our preferred candidate does not make the ticket, we will cast our vote for whomever does get the Democratic nomination.
So the next time you make such comments, please reduce your number of people who didn't cast their vote for Hillary Clinton because of Bernie Sanders by one. And if I see you post this kind of comment again, I will not respond, but I will certainly know that I'm not one of the people that you're speaking about.
