In the Heartland: Solar Energy Shines

Not a surprise for those of us who are keeping up - but remarkable
how many folks don't understand the speed of the renewable revolution.

not fast enough mind you, yet, but rapidly taking over in the Heartland.

in the meantime, solar and wind installation, even at utility scale, distribute economic resources, and thus
power, back to the counties, townships, and small communities that host them.
That's fundamentally democratic.

I live in Northwest Florida near Pensacola.

I had a 10kW system installed in October 2017 on my home. It's really nice not to have to pay for electricity - save the 20 dollar surcharge to remain connected to the grid.

I'm so interested in solar that I'm ending my long IT career and will be re-training. I'm going through an electrician training program for the next year and will then go through training specific to solar. I'll be 54 in September, but I feel strongly enough about the subject that I'm willing to re-train. I believe that the industry will explode over the next 5 years or so.

I'm amazed at how many homes I see now that have solar panels on the roofs. Very impressive.

4. How un-American is it to cheerlead for fossil fuels when they're hurting our economy?

Hey Fox, hey Rus-publi-sians, Drumpf, et al.

Renewables increase property values, promote American jobs here at home, and reduce the human energy footprint. Everybody wins, except for the dirty fossil fuel knuckle dragger.

Maybe he will think about putting it on his office and his barn for his orchards?
