They are trying to change reality by changing the tape and changing the video to make it look like Putin never said he did tell his people to support drumpf and he did favor drumpf. We all heard and saw this happen, it was shown over and over, and yet the official WH video and transcript have been made to lie by deleting this critical sequence, because they knew it could be used against them with great effect come election time. Orwellian or Hitlerian, it's totally bad when the official policy of the WH is to lie. We are so far down the path to fascism it's truly scary.

Republicans have two bibles, "1984" and "Atlas Shrugged" (Ayn Rand), and it didn't start right now, it started with G.W. Bush. Remember when he said "War is Peace"? that came from "1984".

The misinformation department in "1984" controlled what the public read, there were teams whose job was to read historical facts, changed them to fit the message of the administration, then they would throw away the actual facts. That is exactly what the administration is trying to do, the republican party is complicit.

"Atlas Shrugged" is just stupidity which Paul Ryan lives by, he even has a photo-op where he is holding the book. I really recommend those two reads, one has to read both sides. And when you are done with those two books then read "Animal Farm" by George Orwell.

And then...read "It Can't Happen Here!" by Sinclair Lewis...Summer Reading Homework

Yes, it is chillingly scary. Farenheit 451 is another old fave where any reading material gets destroyed, it's a crime to have books as they are considered subversive.I started reading Atlas Shrugged but couldn't stomach it. I will never read one more word that fake wrote. All the Kings Men also seems very prescient too. I have not however read "It Can't Happen Here". Will have to read that after I'm through with my current book.

Trump has said over and over that he asked Putin if the Russians "meddled" in our election and that Trump said they did not.

Now, in responding to the question at the press conference, Putin made it very clear that he wanted Trump to win and that he helped Trump win and why -- because (as Putin explained) Putin thought that Trump wanted to improve US relations with Russia.

Trump didn't just misrepresent the question and answer in the press conference. He has been either lying or Putin changed what he said about wanting Trump to win and doing what he could to help Trump win.

That is how I understand this.

Trump changed the transcript for a reason.

It's the reason he changed it that is important. His changing the transcript highlights the possibility that he may have lied about what Putin said to him or that Trump never asked Putin in earlier discussions about the hacking and "help."
