The youth of the world can redeem us all if we follow their lead sometimes.

What a brave young lady. Bought the ticket specifically to stop the mans transfer. Can you imagine what they'd do in Istanbul? Probably just take him on the tarmac and shoot the guy to avoid anymore 'trouble'. Erdogon(sp) etc. Turkish justice...brrrr. Not like turkey is a paragon of propriety these days.
If dt likes them, stay out of their country. Who can ignore this 'kids' tears?
Bravo for this humanitarian.

but if she did that here she would have been arrested and possibly charged with terrorism and hijacking. At the very least interference with the flight crew. years in prison and probably crippling fines.

I'm not so sure he does. Looks like they are loaded for bear and informed by the time they are old enough to drink. My kind of populace. When she stood up, so did the soccer team. Being the first is the hardest, but, the most rewarding. Right on Sweden!

I often wonder if I could immigrate to a democratic socialist nation with an educated populace.

We seem to be going the opposite direction here.

She is not a hero nor is she a good person. She put her own desires above 150 other paying passengers and all for a convicted criminal and fraudsters who had his day on court, who got three appeals, and even the ever so giving Swedes agreed he was not a refugee but a liar and a fake who had come to Sweden to commit crimes and try to defraud the welfare system. Everyone of these fraudsters who cheat the system steals a spot from a real refugee who really is fleeing for safety yet you people are too ignorant to care. That is sad.

It's not going to KILL them. Not to mention, the bulk of the people on the plane ended up on her side and applauded her. Don't really care if this particular person had issues (not sure where you are finding that because I can't find anything on him) because PLENTY of wonderful people are sent back to places where they end up dead. In my eyes this was symbolic for those people. If she was my daughter I would be the most proud father on the planet. She followed her heart and you could tell it was extremely scary and difficult for her to do this. She may end up paying the consequences now with a fine or jail time. Wonderful, kind, amazing young women!
