I find it difficult to ignore his message: love him or hate him, Avenatti may be a force to be reckoned with.
I post this in the spirit of discussion,
and not divisiveness.
Be strong in these difficult times

(19,957 posts)Not that I'd advocate for him to run for President, but a lawyer doing his job and getting paid for representing his client is something different than paying hush money.

(19,957 posts)2. Sure America elected a President who gave a porn star 150K, is it any worse than electing a lawyer paid by the same porn star ?
I'm pointing out the symmetry. There is nothing in my post that suggests the porn star should have fewer rights.

(2,505 posts)No, I am not. Regardless, Avenatti looks like hes not going anywhere soon. For better or worse.
(please understand, that I am debating the issue and not anyone personally)

(4,429 posts)He's got some time to perfect his speaking style. But he's smart and capable and would certainly hire good people to run an administration.
If he gets some traction, I'd be behind him. I've been looking for a new voice and someone who can take on DJT. Avenatti can.
We'll see how this plays out in the coming months. In the meantime, anyone attacking Trump has my support - Go get him!

(7,142 posts)Republicans just elected a mentally ill, draft dodger, person who worked with the Cosa Nostra and Russian mob, a man who made his money by laundering money and by not paying his bills or paying his taxes, who didn't disclose his taxes, who is a 3 time adulterer, a wife beater, a sexual assaulter and most likely a pedophile. Here we sit finding something bad to say about Michael Avenatti, I say shame on us. Avenatti may in fact be our best hope to beating Trump.
If Elizabeth Warren wins our nomination, I'm on board 100%. If Corey Booker wins our nomination, I'm on board 100%. If Michael Avenatti wins our nomination, I'm on board 100%, and every other Democrat in our great nation damned well better be 100% behind him also, how soon we forget history.
Couldn't have said it better myself!
