If our nation is to have a future, the Democrats must prevail on Nov 6. This is not an exaggeration, but a cold fact. If the Republicans maintain control, there will be no stopping them in their determination to destroy every piece of progressive legislation that the Democrats have won for the working class and the poor. It will also be a major step in the Republicans program to establish a authoritarian presidency making the end of our system of checks and balances that have restrained the authority of the president.
