Trump crimes are crimes in progress. Donald Trump is in this for his own self enrichment as Daddy’s money was squandered on Donalds failed schemes. Trump’s have always bilked government and continue to do so on a daily basis. The Trump brand is an infestation targeting American taxpayers.

Why pull any of your cards off the table at this point: impeachment—-wanting bipartisan support to begin. She should perhaps hold her hand a little closer to the vest. Even though I believe it’s getting close to time for Mueller to shit or get off the pot, I do appreciate the way he makes his moves. It’s time we let our actions speak for us, and there should be a shitload of actions.

Look, there are two paths to go down.

Forgiving Donald of any and all past transgressions against women, minorities, migrants, refuges, LGBTQ, the free press, traditional allies around the globe, fighting climate change, treason....for the cameras.

..as long as he relents just a tad and backs some tiny concession on healthcare or tax reform. So Democrats can come to the mic and preen about some scrap they got.

But in exchange, give up a lot of the high ground when Trump 'trumps' himself again and again as 2020 gets nearer. That once they put themselves in to that position, of accepting, at face value, his sudden willingness to bargain with the enemy, they will have to speak in conciliatory tones and afraid to make him mad and go back on his word about compromise. And then have an even harder time to back the argument that he is once again bad for the country, when he inevitably says or does something unforgivable yet again.

or

They could actually go full battle mode, and lose the tiny gains in policy, by shining his shoes for him, that will get lost in the daily news after a few days anyways, and won't register a blip with voters. And insteat just be relentless. Take a hold of the narrative and keep pounding it. Make him actually feel like he is up shit creek. Put the GOP on the defensive. And use your new hold on the House to fight back.

And based on history with Pelosi and the more established Democrats, I just see the former happening more so than the latter.

I know some would argue that any incremental advancements in those areas is worth it. The same were ok with Obama admin having the same MO. But look at just how fast the GOP dismantled almost every good thing Obama did. You simply cannot trust not only Trump but the GOP as a whole. IMO, they have made it very clear that it is a scorched earth strategy towards us, so it should be all in, and go for the bigger prize, exposing Trump for the cheating lying asshole he is. And almost more importantly, what the GOP are doing, and have already done, with him as their cover. Up the ante! Go full Avenatti on him. I think they'd gain more voters doing it that way than the failed strategy of showing how nice they can play, only to get the football pulled at the last second.

Party.. ".. preen.. ".. established Democrats.." you just have to get that stale old tired word in there that means absolutely Nothing.. it's been so damn overused by those with an agenda.. who are out there on the sidelines not doing the actual work.

Our Democratic Party had A Giant Blue Wave that swept over our country last night.. and here you are the next day insulting them.

Oh and BTW. We still have Obamacare and pre-existing conditions are his legacy.

My eyes just blur over when I read them now. ( and I just need to push this out there because I am still thrilled about it : I am still so happy sharice won, and amused by her new "fans" who actively campaigned against her during the primary but it's all water under the bridge now I guess ) despite the odds and republican gaming of the system , the results were expected. I hope many realise just how steep a challenge it is to undo the ways republicans have trashed democratic norms, and inane/ tired/false commentary trashing the Democratic Party brand serves zero purpose except help republicans.

Even though there were those who tried to paint her as another one of their tired buzzwords.. "corporatist" which was RIDICULOUS.

She credit the Obama White House in her Victory Speech.. how's that for "corporatist"? LOL

I simply brought up that there are two paths. And that past precedence tells me which path Nancy will take. We will see. We can talk again when that is clear. And IF she and the 'established,or.....lets see...senior, longstanding, (I don't know what word you would find acceptable to describe the more influential names that have steered the party for the last decade or two.), if they will choose war or (a false) appeasement.

The reason why I bring it up was that meme was funny.....but, be honest, do you think that was anything near what she was saying? or even thinking? So it compelled me to make my post, perhaps against my better judgement, ....Now if it was Maxine Waters, for instance, it would have been even funnier because I can imagine more that she really means it, and that Trump might just believe it.

The word preen means to spend time congratulating oneself. Coming to the mic to say what they got out of the deal. That is what politicians do, of all stripes. Maybe it was the too strong a word. I was annoyed when I wrote that. Sorry.

My resolve is always to elevate the Democratic party, I desperately want them to succeed. Perhaps I am overly concerned. But just throwing back that I have an "agenda" that any concerns, even based on precedent, that I raise, is "stale old tired and means nothing' to me also sounds stale and tired to me as a response.

"Our Democratic Party had A Giant Blue Wave that swept over our country last night."....Great! Lets preen for a few days...I mean congratulate ourselves. My point is that this is only the beginning. One of the things we must fight is that we can now relax. To me that extends upwards to our more 'senior' Democrats. I think there may be a temptation to use their political capital they gained from this blue wave to take Trump up on his pretend concilitary tone, in the atempt to gain a slight compromise on GOP policy. Because I think underneath, the GOP and Trump will just use any deal with Democrats to appease moderate Republican voters, and Independents. And that they will turn on a dime if they get the chance. And that we have to continue to keep the pedal to the metal, even if Demcrats are then criticized for NOT working with the President, and are instead bringing inquiries and investigations, and doubling down on our attack.

I believe that that path, may not lead to short term success as far as policy, but it would be a better strategy if we want to get rid of Trump for 2020.

I guess I should be dancing in the streets with the rest of you. I don't want to rain on the parade, but sorry, I've seen this movie.

I want nothing more than to be proved wrong about Democratic response. But that meme is disingenuous because it is not based on any precedence I have seen. But we'll see. I think we have to keep the pressure on them. To let them know we have their backs if they do go to war for us.

I think its way past time for us to stop demonizing each other. We all want the best for the Democratic party. And I don't think it is so inconceivable to be a bit apprehensive that 'senior' Democrats who are 'influential' in the party, will choose a path that they have most often taken. We have to keep up the fight. And if people like me just shut up about that, and crack a drink and join the partiers, I just think it may be a massive disappointment and deflation to the Democratic core voters if the Democratic leadership do not hear that we want them to continue to be aggressive, and so instead choose to run again to kick Trump's shiny new football he may offer.

I also think that just as there are some more conservative leaning and some more left leaning Democrats in our large tent, some religious, and some more atheist, there is also more cautionary, even pessimistic Democrats (based on 10 years of losing seats), and more optimistic Democrats (who I appreciate greatly). We need to accept both, or at least refrain from hurling insults, to be more successful in the future. Go Democrats Go!!!

Then come the threats , and accusations , and the criminalization of anyone who opposes him , like putin does in russia. Putin wants Hillary put in jail badly now, so watch how long before he has this new guy as the AG go after her again with made up stuff, and them in Congress too.
