He said that in most cases, a large majority of these migrants would not qualify for asylum.

In the past they would apply for asylum and be allowed to stay in the country while their application was processed, a process that would take months. In the meantime, they start working and then don’t necessarily show up for their hearings.

I don’t think we need to take the draconian measures Cheetolini has taken, but we do need a better, faster way to process asylum claims.
