(15,682 posts)not argue against the Democrat she is interviewing. I believe she knew Katie Porter would not stand for it. I'm almost disappointed she didn't try, though. It would have been great to see her taken down.

(10,274 posts)Katie Porter is a Yale undergrad and Harvard Law graduate, extremely smart, always well prepared and she cuts right to heart of every issue, framing working class concerns so voters can understand the inequities of our current economic system.
She devastated multimillionaire JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon during a recent hearing with a simple question: How are your workers supposed to make ends meet on their meager salaries? Dimon sat mute, shocked to be asked such a question.

(200 posts)While I like 'Hard Questions', is there anything backing it up? Sure, we proved we are intellectually superior, and asked hard questions. I have also written stern emails to my representatives and senator, as well as representatives in other districts that don't give a f*** because I can't vote for them. It hasn't made a difference. Help me out, what can make a difference?

Whenever I see his stupid face I want to punch it through the nearest wall.

(5,106 posts)I was also raised as a liberal Democrat when there used to be some respectable Republicans. I'm now a senior citizen with little tolerance toward asshole politicians, most of whom are Republicans... therefore, McConnell is fair game as "Turtleman, and Mnuchin's unfortunate looks would be sad if he were a poor man. He's obviously not a genius, either. I.Q. is not the issue---E. Q. (emotional quotient) is what he lacks. Trump, sadly, knows how to draw in the very people he really disdains.
