Tom Davis had some really funny Franken stories in his autobiography. It's a really good read. He laid it all out. Lots of Aykroyd and Jerry Garcia stories too.

So after Franken's freshman year at Harvard he gets a job caddying back in Minnesota.
He's loping for this guy who is having the worst round of his life. Finally he hits yet another bad shot and he turns beet red towards Franken and says, "You've got to be absolutely the WORST caddy in the world!!!!!"

Franken calmly deadpans back at him, "THAT would be too much of a coincidence"

He loves waving at any cameras in the area, since he is a "star" Even from a distance, he looks like a lard-ass. His golf skills are like his presidential skills - sparse to non existant.

Remember he plays at his own courses. He's truly the king there and he has to make appearances for the members. Also the self promotion.

I've understood that he was a pretty good player but his cheating is legendary. And driving up on HIS greens.

Since he cheats, there is no way to know whether Trump is any good or not. His scores are meaningless.

Golf Digest did a video analysis of his swing and deemed it pretty good for an older amateur.

Golf, however, is a lot more than a single swing with the driver. As this video show, Trump couldn't get the ball onto the green even though he appears to be inside 100 yards. Since he had a passenger in the cart and there were numerous other people around, Trump was prevented from his usual cheats.

I am confident that if Trump was forced to play by the rules, he would never break 100. His claim of having a single-digit handicap is laughable. To attain that level of skill, and maintain it, would take far more practice time than Trump would or could devote. My bet is he's at best a bogey golfer, i.e., under strict rules of golf, he would be at least 20-30 strokes over par when playing from the regulation tees, (middle set).

I think Rory and Rush and the other people who say how good he is (they claim he bombs it off the tee) are guests of his and know he expects them to say what they say.

Golf digest also did a great report on how overvalued his courses are. The industry is in serious trouble* and he values things on how he feels on a given day.

*i must have booked a tee time on Golf Now once and I get at least 5 emails a day begging me to play at courses around. After 10am and it's basically 1/2 price. Sometimes with lunch or drinks included.

on the green. The shots he was hitting were easy ones too. Any decent player should
have been up and down in 3 from where his 1st ball was.

That clip was like watching Sarah Palin's tv show which showed she couldn't shoot,
fish, or hike because like S. Palin Trump is all fake.
