He did a brilliant job as DNC chair, everyone could use his advice!

p.s. And you're right about the tie, I took a much closer look - it appears to be a collection of happy faces of a cross section of American ethnicities! Very cool, I just wish the interview had been longer and they'd discussed what it meant!

The interesting thing he said about himself was that he was undisciplined. That obviously contributed to his chances when he ran, but OMG, look at how undisciplined 45 is and it has done nothing to erode his base.

It's interesting to make the comparison between discipline and the success of candidates from the two parties. Hillary was attacked for her remark about "the deplorables" (which turned out to be more true than any could anticipate), but 45 is never criticized for his name calling by his base.

I thought that was obvious. One thing I've heard from some people is that TPTB were, above all, concerned with keeping Edwards out. Gore backed Dean but when JRE finished 30%+ in IA, the mainstream swung hard behind Kerry.

But, like most primaries here, things got really heated - and I remember that we were supposed to say "Dean supporters" rather than "Deaniacs!"

Back then, that was considered "name calling," little did we imagine the era of Trump.
