2) Refusal to play one-upmanship, to trade digs with insulting witness, no emotion.

3) Unflappable. Coming back to the narrative thread despite witness' intended distractions.

Sometimes I'm at a board meeting and wish I could call on those qualities.

I can see why Republicans fought so hard against staff questioning. Good on Nadler for insisting on right of staff to question, recognizing that a pro would be better than committee members.
