18. Misunderstanding of the phrase "Draining the Swamp"

There seems to be some misunderstanding about Caligula II's use of this term.

To Trump, "the swamp" are people like environmental regulators, consumer protection people, labor representatives, non-profit organizations, peace advocates, immigration advocates, and so on. He never meant it to apply to lobbyists. He loves lobbyists.

To Trump, "draining the swamp" means stripping power of anybody opposed to Trump for any reason, and ensuring that only sycophants and water boys remain.
