If you destroy important natural ecosystems faster than a representative international body concludes is sustainable, automatic and crippling economic sanctions. Inject a global will into a sovereign country's internal politics? Hell yea! Because what Brazil and Indonesia do with their rain forests and peat lands impacts every single soul on the planet. We do that with nuclear weapons proliferation for a similar reason. Why not with climate change?

U.S. citizens fail to comprehend or willingly ignore.
Working off-hours in urban areas has always been my preference. Screw driving these damn cars.
Pricey planned obsolescence, fuel, insurance, traffic, maintenance, fender benders, major wrecks, road ragers, huge overtestosteroned trucks with Trump stickers carrying one fat ass to the all you can eat buffets, tickets, tolls, flat tires, lemons, headaches, heart attacks when you swerve to miss the idiot texting and driving, repairs, unscrupulous shops, unscrupulous dealerships, stoplights, children and animals at risk on roads, drunk drivers, stupid drivers, drivers who take 5 minutes to back out of the parking spot you're waiting for, sitting stuck in smog choking traffic jams wondering just what cruelly ironic person called it a "free" way.
Screw all that.
I don't mind the wait for the train. I wish they went everywhere. I'll enjoy reading my book, maybe strike up a conversation with someone.
This nation needs to get over it's damnable, idiotic "exceptionalism" and get it's mass transit act major subsidies act together auto industries diversify into workable solutions, make progress.
