(205,354 posts)I know that a lot of DUers don't stay up as late as I do and some don't have TV - But Colbert and his late night colleagues help keep me sane after a day of Trump news, so I figured we needed more humor here right now. I realize that Paul McCartney isn't exactly political, but I knew he'd be popular here anyway.

(205,354 posts)But I agree that this was such a terrific personal interview, he did a great job. BTW, I saw Paul McCartney live in concert just a couple of years ago - he's still got it, performed numerous encores, and the crowd just loved him!

(8,287 posts)I would be star struck with either one of them! Always appreciate your posts with videos while Im in Europe and dont have a great memory to remind myself to look for them. You save me hours every week! My best to you!

(205,354 posts)Especially through all those encores! And he was pretty small from there so they had these large screens on either side that broadcast him and his band much larger. But it was still quite a thrill to know it was really him and just to see and hear him in person. Like Stephen was saying, he was and is larger than life, but despite that, he couldn't have been more personable - and he really did play everything!
And I'm so glad that I can post Colbert for you and others here who might miss it. He's kept me sane through these awful Trump days and that's why I started posting him, we really need as much humor as we can get now and Colbert never disappoints!
