(586 posts)one reason why I've wanted impeachment is because of the daily testimonies. Because all of those officials testifying every day can move public opinion!

(86 posts)"Incentivize" seems awfully benign. I think the word they wanted was "extort".

(333 posts)I'm sick of looking at polls from EVERYBODY. Emerson poll, the otis campblell poll, fire marshall bill poll, etc and they all say different things. Dems keep your eye on the ball and don't let the republicans and polls pull into a false sense of confidence. This guy is lucky if nothing else. If there's a trick left in the majic hat, trump will use it.

(21,600 posts)Great observation.
That's another way this mirrors the Nixon impeachment push: before long even many, if not most, Republicans were in favor.
Sometimes the evidence is just too eloquent.

(4,522 posts)A majority of Americans support impeaching President Donald Trump if he suspended military aid to Ukraine to pressure the foreign nation to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, according to a new poll.
All that is needed is that he asked them to investigate!!!!!
Yes - I know it's a poll but it implies they have to prove the threat of withholding military aid

(5,318 posts)It does worse than merely imply they have to prove the threat of withholding military aid, it implies that the proof will be believed and accepted.
And by now it should be clear to everyone here that there exists an abundance of Americans to whom you can't prove water is wet.

(4,490 posts)And this was 2 days ago. A lot more has come out since then, and Trump has been more than a little unhinged.
Only 41% of Republicans strongly opposed
Only one very early poll, but a good sign.
