1. The US was involved in an armed conflict at the time with North Vietnam but that is not the

case with regards to the US and Russia so getting a charge of treason to stick now would be difficult as the definition is very narrow on what treason is.

2. The specific charge is irrelevant, in my opinion.

Both Johnson and Obama faced situations in which a candidate of the opposing party was either deliberately sabotaging American foreign policy (Nixon) or actively encouraging foreign intervention in a US election (Trump). Both candidates were acting to promote their own candidacies in spite of US foreign policy. And neither Johnson nor Obama spoke up.

In hindsight, neither Johnson nor Obama kept silent to the benefit of this country.

3. First for Republicans and needs to be well known. Should be the start of every presidential debate

from now on. Start with Nixon, then Reagan, Ford, Bush, Bush II, and Trump.
Treason from everyone of them.
Should still all be impeached to ensure the record is clear.
No wonder you never hear them talk about Eisenhower.
