No Jacket Required tour ... it was a damn good show, not as great as Genesis on the Mama tour a few years before, but ... damn good. Except Sussudio.

The closing song was the last one from that album "Take Me Home" which was, as I recall, a killer concert-ending tune.

I understand he's touring now, but heard he has foot issues that limit his drumming to toms, no kick drum and such ... kinda sad.

Heard he still sounds good though, vocally. Just missed him here, didn't even know he was playin' ... might've gone.

5. I saw Genesis during their very first trip to the USA & Phil Collins was there.

The ticket cost me $1.00, yes ONE DOLLAR. Their latest album was "Selling England by the Pound". I bought 10 tickets and invited nine of my friends, my girlfriend included, and we were the first ones at the door. They played at Tuft University in Medford Massachusetts.

Phill Collins was the drummer, of course, Peter Gabriel the lead singer and played the flute, Steve Hacket and Anthony Phillips guitar & bass.

I remember that I was so perplexed about the show that having my camera on my hand I forgot to take pictures, luckily, almost at the end (Foxtrot), one of my friends asked me if I had taken good pictures, so I realized I had the camera and took the entire roll of film (for those who remember roll of films) while Peter Gabriel was singing that last part of Foxtrot where he explodes and goes from black tights to a silver suit.

Phil Collins sings bits of a few songs, and of course accompanied Peter Gabriel, and I was amazed to realize how much alike they sounded.

I remember that we went to see Emerson, Lake and Palmer two days later and, although we loved their music, we were bored. At one point one of my friends turned to me and said "damn, its a shame, but after Genesis, this is f&(* boring."

Thank you for posting this song, it is, in my opinion, Collins' best.

By the way, Steve Hacket is touring the USA and his new tour is "Selling England by the Pound", I already saw him a couple of years ago, he played mostly Genesis music and he was just incredible. If anyone likes the old Genesis music, I strongly recommend you go to his concert.

Here is the link of dates and sites of his tour:
