Why War With Iran Is Just....A Horrendous Idea

1. Suicide speed boats are one thing. Submarines are quite another....

One thing not mentioned are Iran's 3 Russian Kilo class diesel boats, plus a handful of homemade mini subs. Running on bats, even old Kilos are extremely quiet. And no one knows for sure if the Iranians have upgraded their Kilos to super Kilo status like the Russians have, making them even harder to detect. Kilos also excel in relatively shallow water...just like the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. Sinking them would be one of the first steps, but I guarantee they will be hiding at sea before the first bombs fall. And only one of them is required to slip into a carrier battle group to put a $13B aircraft carrier on the bottom. What a shit storm that would be. Kilos aren't Sweden's Gotland class, but are still lethal. Reason number 3,476 why war with Iran is incredibly, galactically stupid.
