(23,337 posts)I happened upon it early yesterday morning on free speech tv while making breakfast and packing lunch for my kiddo. It stopped me in my tracks. The Native American woman to Sheens left spoke after he did and she was quite inspirational as well.
Thank you for posting.

(12,265 posts)I wonder if Aaron Sorkin wrote that for him .

(13,541 posts)He may have given him an outline of what he wanted to say and then Sorkin wrote it for him.

(12,265 posts)On the other hand Martin was on West Wing a long time saying the things Aaron wrote, he may have picked up something there.

(29,219 posts)but it was a decent statement from President Bartlet.
And even though Bartlet is fictional, he would still be oh so much better than the current Orange Mistake.

(5,103 posts)trump or Bartlet?
When it comes to acting (Presidential), Martin Sheen matched Reagan.
They both were playing a part. They both made America feel better about itself.
Then there's a reality show phony and con man.

(24,031 posts)...re-binge watching The West Wing just to make myself feel better by listening to characters espouse what I think and believe in.

(36,130 posts)Even more, I'd love for him to be the warm-up speaker at our nominee's rallies after the DNC.
