Now we have the constant droning of the media...and people are accustomed of having the TV on from morning to night....so they would hear it hundreds of times.....the TV can do wondrous things, but it can also be used as a tool to shape public opinion...and they have been shaping it for decades now.

(I was alive then.) But our radio newspeople were Edward Murrow and other journalists who had integrity in their reporting. Also, there were a few crack pot radio personalities like Father Conklin during the Great Depression but not the constant barrage of Limbaugh, Beck and others we get today.
