. . Obama's last 3 years: +4.50%, Trump's 3 years: +3.18%, Last 12 months: +0.15%
The above on an annualized basis:
. . Obama's last 3 years: 1.48%/yr, Trump's 3 years: 1.05%/yr, Last 12 months: 0.15%/yr
What's odd is that pretty much ever since Trump has been president, the media has been talking about the tightening labor market and wages finally rising as a result. Well, the figures show a wage slowdown compared to Obama's last 3 years. Another MSM meme shot the fuck to pieces.
Here's the hourly version for those who prefer that:

In other news, life expectancy has declined for 3 years in a row -- unprecedented in American history, but so is Trump.

(10,924 posts)Depths of despair' drive third consecutive drop in U.S. life expectancy, Minnesota Public Radio News, 12/4/19
That dip is slight, at just a tenth of a year. But Hallberg said its statistically significant and alarming, because its driven by an increase in preventable deaths among 25-to 65-year-olds in New England and the Ohio Valley.
There are three main conditions, this triad, and sadly, they're referred to as depths of despair, Hallberg said. They are drug overdoses, suicides and alcohol-related disease.
This one from November 2018, a year and a quarter ago --
Suicide, at 50-year peak, pushes down US life expectancy, AP, 11/29/18
The suicide death rate last year was the highest its been in at least 50 years, according to U.S. government records. There were more than 47,000 suicides, up from a little under 45,000 the year before. The suicide rate was 14 deaths per 100,000 people. Thats the highest since at least 1975.
For decades, U.S. life expectancy was on the upswing, rising a few months nearly every year. Now its trending the other way: It fell in 2015, stayed level in 2016, and declined again last year, the CDC said.
An underlying factor is that the death rate for heart disease the nations No. 1 killer has stopped falling. In years past, declines in heart disease deaths were enough to offset increases in some other kinds of death, but no longer, Anderson said.
Drug overdose deaths also continued to climb, surpassing 70,000 last year ... The death rate rose 10 percent from the previous year, smaller than the 21 percent jump seen between 2016 and 2017.
A baby born last year in the U.S. is expected to live about 78 years and 7 months, on average. An American born in 2015 or 2016 was expected to live about a month longer, and one born in 2014 about two months longer than that.

(11,885 posts)When he's cut the numbers of people insured , when it was the opposite under President Obama. President Obama saved us from a depression and turned things around from W Bush when his policies caused it, and now trumps doing the same things as W Bush did but claiming his policies caused the economic upturn. The economy is not doing that well, and trumps using the government to prop up the markets claiming its great. The wealthy have been the ones who have benefited from trump , and he even bragged about it , then claim everyone is doing better. Just look at the deficit , then look at the trillions given out to the wealthy, and himself. trumps just a serial liar , and corrupt, and everything he does he has to get something from it. His children are just as corrupt , and are liars too, but he wants to claim Biden's son is corrupt when he knows his kids are.

(7,530 posts)During his presidential campaign, Trump often slammed the government's labor and employments statistics, calling monthly jobs reports "phony" and the unemployment rate "fiction." He also frequently claimed that the unemployment rate was much higher than reported.
"The unemployment rate is probably 20 percent, but I will tell you, you have some great economists that will tell you it's at 30, 32," he said in September 2015. "And the highest I've heard so far is 42 percent."
Asked about Trump's past dismissal of Bureau of Labor Statistics jobs numbers in the past in light of Friday's strong economic report, Spicer quoted the president:
"I talked to the president prior to this, and he said to quote him very clearly: 'They may have been phony in the past, but it's very real now.'"
Spicer and reporters present laughed, though it wasn't immediately clear whether Trump was joking.
