I just wanted to say, perhaps apropos of nothing but still, I perused DU from a distance for quite a while but I gotta say the hook that drew me in to join was simply the Rhiannon12866 postings of Stephen Colbert - Monologue and Opening's segments (PLUS honorable mention: the wwwoondferful animal vid's) and NOT the political back-n-forth's. I started posting these a couple of years ago because watching Colbert and the late night comedians always makes me feel better after a day of depressing Trump news. And I know that a lot of DUers don't stay up as late as I do and there are some that have given up TV. I figured that we needed more humor here these days and Colbert always provides it, no matter what the news has been like (though he sure keeps up with the latest), and I just love the clever Openings, too!
