(14,887 posts)confusing him with the Dick Cavett interview with John Lennon. James Lipton began Inside the Actor's Studio in 1994.
I remember Billy Crystal picking up the stack of blue cards, Lipton always used during his interviews, and dumped them on the floor
I can clearly remember both Billy and John sitting at the piano during their "interview ". I also remember Robin taking a scarf from a "student " and doing riff based upon the scarf.

I had no idea he was 93. He was definitely one of a kind.....
