Candice Bergen went on a date with him while attending Penn and said he wore a burgundy suit, shoes and drove a burgundy car....everything matched. There was never a second date. I'm sure he fit in well with the late 60s college culture and fashion.

The real point should be that Trump is just plain evil.

He said that he thinks many people DO go to work when they are sick, not that he thinks they should.

But that's splitting hairs. The bigger issue, to me, is that there is currently no evidence that thousands or hundreds of thousands of Americans are getting better by "sitting around" or going to work. It is HIGHLY irresponsible for a president to make claims like that based on nothing more than a hunch.

He eschews facts, lacks the intellectual energy to read and inquire about things of immense importance to him, as president, and lies and bloviates to cover up his ignorance and to pretend he is less empty headed than he actually is.

That said, you are correct, he never said that he thinks people afflicted with Covid-19 should go to work. However, the barstid is supposed to be the leader of the nation and its people (yeah, I know, he doesn't have the smarts, heart or stomach for that job, but there ya go) and what he didn't say -- and what any leader would have said -- was that people, for the love of god, should NOT be going to work if they have symptoms of Covid-19. By not saying that, he encourages it and has to take responsibility for putting it out there as a reasonable thing for sick people to do.

It's like saying "Well, to empty a theater quickly, people are either running towards the nearest exit or, in some cases, just shouting "FIRE! FIRE!" -- and that seems to work, as well." What an empty headed f'ing jackass.

Just like he never said "This is a quid pro quo" to the president of Ukraine.

But he did suggest that there are thousands of people out there who who "get better" -- meaning they are already sick -- by "going to work."

It's all very well for him to turn around a say he never said sick people should go to work, but he most certainly implied that it is perfectly okay for sick people to go to work, and that they might even get better by doing so.

The mans an idiot, he says stupid things all the time, and he never thinks before he opens his fat festering pie hole, BUT...

I believe the point he was trying to make was that the calculation for the fatality rate of this virus doesn’t take into account many people who might get sick but are so mildly affected that they don’t ever get tested, just go about their daily business (including going to work, etc.) and get well on their own, and so never get factored into the calculation of the mortality rate.

Of course, this logic could be applied to ANY disease that is transmitted in the population, so it’s a stupid point no matter how you look at it. Every communicable disease will have “x” number of people who go to a doctor and are found to have the disease, and “y” number of people who then expire from the disease. From these 2 numbers we calculate the mortality rate of the disease. In this regard the corona virus has been shown to be particularly potent.

So yes he’s an idiot, but he was making a (pointless) observation, not suggesting a behaviour people should adopt.

Now he is saying that he never said it, which he didn't, and hundreds of thousands of people, if not millions of people, have their image of a 'lying left wing media that lies just because they hate Trump' reinforced.

This is so counterproductive. I don't know what the point is, when there are so many ACTUAL, FACTUAL things to criticize him for.

It got him elected, and through all the psycho babble his approval ratings among the "conservative" base has been maintained.

The gaslighting has been a very effective strategy, whether by design or not.

When it comes to imbecility and mental decline, we have to take into consideration the millions of voters who listen to what this POtuS says and nod their heads in approval.

How about putting in an honest day's work yourself? Just once.
And no, these activities do not count as actual work:
-Rage tweeting at all hours;
-Watching TV all morning and half the night;
-Calling into Pox News shows;
-Playing golf;
-Spewing hatred and vitriol at your Nazi-esque rallies or ClanPAC conventions;
-Ignoring important reports about Covid-19 and other urgent matters that require real leadership.

I could go on and on, but I think my point is clear.

Maybe from a sick cook at Mar-a-Lago who had to work while sick due to financial hardship.

Yeah, it's probably wrong to wish for this. Really wrong. I should pray to God for forgiveness. But do I have to repent right away? Can't I enjoy being bad for a little while?

While he still occupies the address on Pennsylvania Avenue, we — the taxpayers — end up paying his health care expenses. Whether they’re due to Covid -19 or decades of unhealthy habits (including chemical dependency), we are on the hook.

Money that could be so well-spent elsewhere (everywhere else), including and especially for military families, veterans and their survivors) is being poured down a massive sink-hole.

Take the drugs the ad refers to, dull the aches and pain, then go to work. You feel ok, but the 20 people you meet during the day, might not.
They will watch that ad for Codral (paracetalol + codeine) and think . . . Must Buy!

Repeatedly promoting propaganda like Putin and his hackers are doing, no wonder the markets are tanking on them now, they don't believe anything they say either. We have serial liars in this administration promoting putins propaganda for him , again. Just like the promoted propaganda with Ukraine, and his phony Biden propaganda.
