Just ask Wendell Potter (or read his book. At least he was human enough to realize it, get out of the health insurance business, and do things to fight it. Most don't.

These days, the late night comedians do a great job keeping us up to speed on a daily basis - they are all speaking out, pulling no punches - and it is somewhat easier to take with a little humor.
