Governor Andrew Cuomo UPDATE April 14 2020

Last edited Tue Apr 14, 2020, 02:37 PM - Edit history (1)

We (New York and CA) have shown that we can control the spread of the virus.
What we do today affects tomorrow.

Reopening?
How you reopen is everything -- the worst scenario is that after we do all this, we return to high infection rates.

Let's at least learn from past mistakes,
think together,
plan together in non-conflicting ways,
coordinate together,
clarify who is responsible for each element of the opening.

What government does is determine how this goes,
so the federal state relationship of our democracy must be maintained based on US history.

The Constitution set up the colonies to form the federal government, not the other way around.

This is no time to relax.

This is no time for "me," but "we" -- acting on behalf of ALL of society.

Private sector is not enough for any level of reopening.

WE must figure out how to take this nation's collective strength to solve our challenges -- testing, technology for tracing, leaders watching and following The People.

The president has no fight here. I will not let it happen.
