Not only has the bible been used to justify horrible racism and other forms of bigotry, but the usurping of religions in general as "opiates of the masses" has been problematic for equally as long, using the "be subservient to your masters" clauses within to justify tremendous income inequalities, here are your pittance of paychecks, workers, now just be glad you have a profession to fill and count yourselves lucky, all coming from owners who live in unprecedented fiscal advantage hoarding mansions, have their own security forces, their own roads, golf courses, swimming pools, golden service cuisine, all "earned" on the backs of veritable slavery: browbeaten workers who barely afford McDonalds crap for meals, live paycheck to paycheck, don't own anything worth spit compared to their masters, and then... this is enough to just make me vomit:
Go to church and thank the sky spooks for all their "blessings". Nevermind uncle died of the cancer he couldn't afford to be treated for. Nevermind the nights sleeping in horrible conditions in a car outside a rest stop bathroom between jobs. Nevermind the times they got arrested, possibly totally tumble through the cracks into the criminal justice system because they had no choice but to try and steal a living with the likes of the judgemental christian cabal still condemning even the actions of a starving man as "criminal".
Fuck all that, the using of religion to justify the likes of Donald Trump, even to the point these damn fools think this shitpile somehow is ordained by god to be their leader. I could see right through the crappy systemic dog-whistle racism and bashing the poor in general of all races by the Reaganesque "moral majority" which was neither.
Slavery never really was truly abolished. It only changed forms of keeping the "withouts" in their place.
