After reading these articles I think that the electric charge in the masks is not available in fabrics for the public and are still being researched or it isn't something we have access to at this time. I do not know how they make it electric in the first place and the articles do not explain it (at least to my understanding...which is limited when it comes to Science).

(20,590 posts)for sharing this info. I make masks with a pocket for filters but most of the time leave them empty. They suggest coffee filters. It looks like it would at least have to be polyester (plastic). Thanks for the links.

(51,638 posts)signed the Wartime Production Act in April, to make more of the masks that actually work and are available to the public, where the Hell are they? Three months! FDR got production going in WW2 in less time. I believe that he wants us to get sick since the majority are in Blue, urban areas (until recently that is).
Where are N95 masks for everyone?

We are still short millions of masks beyond that, certainly. I hope we will soon have a national discussion about bringing manufacturing of essential first aid equipment back to the USA, and new guidelines for protecting AND PAYING the essential workers.

(51,638 posts)I HATE that bastard with a passion. He has refused to help this country. I do not care about his Covid denying cult AT ALL, but the rest of us have a right to a govt that protects us in every way.

But they do, at least, protect us from what comes out of someone else.
