North Carolina has several huge military bases including Ft Bragg and Camp Lejeune. Roughly one fourth of US soldiers are based in the state Burr "represents".

Patrick Murphy nailed it and is something I've said frequently as well. For many in Congress, the pundit class, and the military-industrial complex the cost of war consists of the machines and the weapons and the men and women who go to fight. It doesn't seem to include, in their minds, the impact of the war on the individuals who fight, on their families, and on society. War is not only hell, but it is expensive, not only during active conflicts, but for many years and decades after.

He told it. But those 4 cowardly senators...well, their votes could have pushed things through. And there are no words except they need to be drummed out of the Senate. Oh yeah, there is one word: UNAMERICAN!

I hope the press shows some attention to those Senators, and asks why they are wearing those US Flag pins if they won't support the troops that make it possible for them to live in this country

They started this war with their lies, they sent our troops over there to make money for their friends. Now when its time to do the right thing, they play obstructionist because they are afraid Obama will look good.

THIS is such a huge slap in the face to Vets, I hope Team Obama uses this issue (including
portions of this Maddow interview), along with reminding Rmoney's 47% of what he thinks
of them ... and just ride these two for all they're worth until election day, because they are
both so revealing, so ugly, so accurate in their portrayal of how low the GOP "base" has stooped,
and just how craven and life-less these characters are.

It would be interesting to look at the vote and see if ANY of the Republicans who voted this down have ANY relative serving.

The bill would have given money to people described as the 47%
The (R) presidential candidate may have said it but the whole (R) party thinks it

and what do we get?

NO JOBS.

We aren't asking for handouts. We aren't asking for charity. We have made our sacrifice with our lives, our health and our families. We are only asking for a JOB.

And what do we get from RepubliCONS? Not a damn thing.

a reporter ask Rmoney if he supports this bill, and if he does, what does he think of the Rethug senators that killed it.
