1. Trump is stupid. That is without question. Stupid. Trump has shown us for 4 years he is stupid.

2. It really disturbs me

to hear someone say that committing immoral/illegal/democracy-destroying acts could ever be “smart” (the definition of not stupid).

No, that’s just wrong, wrong, wrong. Only someone who thinks that the means justify the ends in the service of one’s political ambitions could say such a thing—such a stupid thing.

3. It's pretty obvious what Bernie meant here.

He meant that Trump is trying to suppress the ability for people to vote.

6. That's not the point

To say that Trump is trying to suppress the vote has been obvious to absolutely everyone for weeks. Bernie would be 9,856th in line to state that publicly. The fact that he could equate such a horrendous, blatant assault on democracy with Trump being smart is twisted.

He wants you to risk your life to cast a ballot.
