must have been like living in prison for her. She has no real freedom and is the subject of so much ridicule. She obviously made a lot of compromises marrying this creep, but she never signed on for this. It doesn't sound like she has much of a life at all and there obviously is no real relationship with Donald.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that she was ready to leave him before he was elected president and is probably counting the days until she can escape. Even if they don't get a divorce, she will probably end up living a very separate life from him.

Marry for money and you will earn EVERY penny. I suppose marrying him was a step up from what she WAS doing, escorting and nude modeling. I heard she was about to go back to her country, almost broke then she met Don the Con. They deserve each other.

19. Its not that I have sympathy for her,

but I really like to understand why people do some of the things they do and there is usually more to their stories than meets the eye. I know what it is like to be trapped in a bad relationship and its possible there are reasons beyond money keeping her in this one. I think she may have hung in there to get her parents legal citizenship. Obviously their marriage is all transactional and she may have bartered or postponed her freedom for her family. They did not become citizens until 2018.

We know what a monster Trump is and I am quite sure he used his power and money to keep her in a role as First Lady a role that she never wanted. On the flip side, I think Melania used her speech to send some messages to her husband. Obviously, it wasn't ABOUT him, though he seems stupid and vain enough to think it was.

that I have to read! I honestly hadn't heard of "Melania & Me" yet, but it looks fascinating. I've been waiting anxiously for Michael Cohen's book, but it isn't due out until September 8th, "Melania" comes out on the 1st, so I guess I can fit them both in. I don't know how healthy it will be though. That's a lot of "Trump" to digest in a short period of time. I usually try to find distractions from this nightmare when I read.

I thought most people understood by now that we often use the term "Nasty woman" as an attack on Donald Trump, not women.

When the kids were young and still living at home we would get together with our neighbors at least once a week just to eat Moose Tracks. It's been so long since I've had any I almost forgot about it. But I have a new favorite ice cream these days, anyway. Ben and Jerry's Half Baked!
