Real Time with Bill Maher (HBO) - 9/25/20

Monologue: #TrumpBooed at a funeral

Bill Maher: Trump's Not Leaving

There is one person who has been amplifying Bill's message that President Trump would refuse to leave if he lost the election: Trump himself.

Bernie Sanders: Listen to What Trump Is Saying

Vermont senator and former Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders (I-VT) joins Bill to discuss the specter of a constitutional crisis should President Trump refuse to concede a loss in the 2020 election.

Bakari Sellers and Coleman Hughes on Police Accountability

"My Vanishing Country" author Bakari Sellers and "Conversations with Coleman" podcast host Coleman Hughes join Bill to discuss police accountability in the wake of Breonna Taylor's killing.

New Rule: Power Talks and Losers Walk

Bill argues that the only way to stop the Republicans' consolidation of power is by electing Joe Biden with a vote total so huge it will be hard to ignore.

1. The last minute, or so, of New Rules is excellent. It's funny or sad depending

how you are feeling. My “last of the 60s” hippie, minimalist brother dropped off a 3 month late birthday gift today that put be in a better mood.

Sanders had to spend too much time trying to convince Maher that trump would leave. Sanders all but begged us to vote to defeat trump. Appreciate his earnest encouragement.

The panel sorted out a serious issue. And Jim Belushi talked about his marijuana farm. Worth watching, with some hardy laughs.

As usual, thanks for the videos.

And that's very nice! My brother has turned a corner, as well. Since our mother's been gone, he makes a big fuss, since now he only has me.

As for Bill Maher, this was a pretty good show. Not exactly a "feel good" show by a long shot, but they did have thoughtful discussions on the most pressing news of the day - and they included all the videos except for Jim Belushi (so far) who discussed growing pot.

subscribing to HBO, but I know a lot don’t. Folks don’t always agree or like Maher, same here, but there’s always some value in his show. And, he despises trump.

4. The only shows I regularly watch on HBO are Bill Maher and John Oliver

And if others here are like me, it's probably not really worth subscribing. So that's why I make a point of posting as much of the show as I can. Like him or not, Bill is always newsworthy - and he often has newsworthy guests, those currently making the news.

We used to see the "bootleg" versions of the show posted most weeks with a warning that it wouldn't be available for long. So that's why I sought out the "official" site which will not disappear. Not all of the show is available there, but at least this week they uploaded all the newsworthy segments - only left off Jim Belushi and I found the monologue on Twitter.

He was put down by just about everyone when ever he did too.

The "power" grab in the New Rules almost brought me to tears. I am watching Ken Burns:The Roosevelts again and the difference between people who had wealth and privilege but served to better everyone's life, protect basic rights, uphold morals and promote human decency is like night and day compared to the fucking moron and his spawn. We have fallen so far down a dark hole in this country it is hard to see the light sometimes.

Bill has been saying right along what everyone is saying now - and I don't blame him for his "I told you so" compilation. These are very scary times and he's been trying to get his point across for as long as Trump's been around...

And I'm very familiar with "The Roosevelts," I've seen it more than once. They were all about doing the right thing for the country during the last most dangerous time in our history - Trump, on the other hand, has caused this one!

Power begets power, and the winners get to make the rules, which means they’re more likely to keep winning. If Hillary was President, we would be facing the awful consequences of remaining in the Paris Climate Accord, having a majority on the Supreme Court, being able to keep our health care. Maher was correct in his assessment of what has happened to our country with Trump in office.

Except for the pandemic, but like Bill said, he could guarantee that Hillary Clinton would have done a whole lot better than to have told us "to drink bleach!" It was a pretty solid show tonight and it's always a relief just to be reassured that somebody else is paying attention.

Lock him up.

dRumpf is directly responsible of criminal negligence in the preventable death of at least 150,000 (and counting) who would still be alive today.

He knew and then refused to do his job (which he is incapable of, even with all the powers at his disposal) also because he saw the virus hitting mostly blue states at the beginning (sacrificing his now dead magats in blue states never crossed his childish mind).

Not to mention that we know now that he was informed and understood the dangers back in February! And people are so stupid, continuing to believe that the pandemic is some kind of "hoax," despite having affected the rest of the world! And most other countries of the world have handled it much better. But Trump continues to lie to them, the deaths are just staggering and he deserves to be held responsible!

who voted 3rd party or stayed home in 2016, dont worry you will get a chance to replace Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett in 2050 or 2060.

Until then, enjoy the rulings.

Im in my late 50s, this was my last chance to get the court to have a liberal majority for the first time in 50 years, I was in elementary school then.

Citizens united, Gore v Bush, Janus and guess what, the worst is yet to come.

i still seethe over Nader and his enabler, Michael Moore in 2000 which got you Roberts and Alito. 97000 votes in Florida.

If some people cant see how close most elections are recently and there is no margin for error, well then they are doomed to repeat it.
