They wanted a no-experience-in-government guy, they got him.

He’s too stupid to know the biggest difference between America and communist/oligarch/fascist dictatorships is peaceful elections and transfer of power.

That is the whole reason for the Constitution—to define a country known for its peaceful transfer of power.

And Putin picked a guy he knew would be too stupid to protect the things he has been attacking. Mission Accomplished.
