Even a Republican was a sponsor on a bill in Texas to eliminate this practice, but it died in the Senate. They should show this film in chambers before considering it again.

This was a needless interaction that was non-Constitutional fishing. The officer should be charged for lying on the police report and obviously fired and not just demoted.

That is BS that they can arrest you for a minor moving violation (too wide turn) and then search your vehicle. Given how the cop acted, no wonder the boy wanted to roll up his window so he could lock his car when exiting the vehicle. I wouldn't put it past the cops to plant something in the vehicle. They are unhinged.

they especially like throwing someone in jail if they can't pay the fine. Some people do more time that way, than those found guilty of committing a felony.

Somehow the police in this country got the idea that they can do anything. Police training needs to involve respect for the citizen. A lot of what I see from videos such as this seem to be outright abuses of The Constitution. Why was the father threatened with pepper spray? Why don't they answer questions after asking to search the vehicle?
